Who we are
Knight Escape is a game made by Ihsan Firdaus, an independent developer. In this policy, "I" and "me" mean the developer. Questions about privacy go to knightescape@ihsanfir.dev.
What stays on your device
Your progress (boards beaten, stars, best scores, your daily streak and hints used today) and your settings are stored on your device.
If iCloud is on, the same game data is synced through Apple’s iCloud key-value storage in your own iCloud account, so it can reach your other devices. I cannot see or access it.
Purchases
The Full game is bought through Apple. I never see your name, Apple Account or payment details.
To confirm the purchase and restore it on your other devices, the game uses RevenueCat, a purchase service. RevenueCat receives the App Store purchase record with a random anonymous ID that it creates, plus your device’s language, region and currency. It never receives your name, email address or payment details.
I can see these anonymous records as purchase history and sales charts. They are not linked to your identity, I have no way to tell who you are from them, and they are never used for advertising or tracking. RevenueCat’s privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy.
Game Center
If you are signed in to Game Center, your achievements are handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy.
What the game does not do
No ads, no advertising IDs, no tracking across apps or websites, no analytics SDKs, no location, no contacts, no photos, no camera, no microphone. The game asks for none of these permissions.
If you chose to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may send me anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. You can turn this off in Settings, Privacy & Security, Analytics & Improvements.
This website
This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from third parties; the fonts are served from this site. Like any web server, the hosting provider may keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) to keep the site secure and running.
If you pick a language, the site remembers it in your browser’s local storage, on your device only. The board you can play on the home page runs entirely in your browser and sends nothing anywhere.
Children
Knight Escape is rated 4+ and is suitable for everyone. It has no accounts, no chat and no ads, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Your choices
Deleting the game removes its data from your device. To stop syncing, turn iCloud off for the game in iOS Settings. If you would like the anonymous purchase record removed, or have any other request, write to knightescape@ihsanfir.dev.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or the CCPA in California), you have the right to access, correct or delete personal data. Because the game holds no data that identifies you, there is usually nothing to hand over, but I will gladly help.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date. Translations are provided for convenience; if they differ, the English version applies.
